4th Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivist Conference Early Bird – Registration
The Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivists (KARMA) is pleased to announce its 4th Records and Archives Management (RAM) Conference on 2-4 November, 2020 at PrideInn Resort Mombasa, Kenya.
The theme of the conference shall be Records Management and The Big 4 Agenda. The Big 4 Agenda is an initiative that was launched by the Government of Kenya to implement the next phase of Kenya’s vision 2030 through the third medium plan. Its major focus is on food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and affordable healthcare for all citizens. The Big 4 Agenda was launched in appreciation of the fact that for Kenya to accelerate the achievement of vision 2030 aspirations, a new approach to the country’s medium plan was required in order to focus on issues that would propel and have greatest impact on the wellbeing of the citizens.

In line with KARMA’s vision of positioning records and archives management at the centre of strategic and sustainable development initiatives, this 4th conference will therefore be reflecting on, and challenging the professionals, on how they can position the profession and themselves at the heart of the Big 4 and demonstrate the value proposition of RAM in sustainable development. This will also be in the spirit of building synergies between pure and applied records and archives management.
The sub-themes for the conference will therefore be:
- Records management and affordable housing
- Records Management and universal healthcare
- Records Management in the manufacturing sector
- Records Management and food security
- Records Management in the 4th Industrial Revolution
